Using the Loop Method
Your secret weapon for a more beautiful back!

Have you ever heard stitchers discuss the "Loop Method" and not had a clue what they were on about? Follow these easy instructions and take pride in work that looks great from both sides!

  1. Cut a length of thread twice as long as you normally would.
  2. If the design calls for two strands, remove one strand from the cut length.
  3. Place both ends of the strand together and thread through your needle, creating a loop on the opposite end. (By doubling the thread you are effectively creating two strands.)
  4. Come through the fabric from the back as usual, drawing all but the last inch of thread through.
  5. Put the needle back into the fabric to make the first leg of the cross and catch it through the loop left at the back of the fabric. Tug gently until the stitch is smooth and well formed.

Important note!
You can only use the loop method with an even number of strands.

Here's to beautiful stitching!
